The Role: We are looking for a Planner to manage the evaluation of project time and correlate cost and risk assessment. This role will involve managing project planning systems, policies and standards across multiple projects, supporting the successful delivery of some of the UK's largest and most challenging projects.
Manage the integrated P6 programme meeting the internal / external reporting needs.
Schedule, cost and risk assessment via integrated approach to influence the critical path and facilitate robust/strong decision making.
Lead in what-if scenario planning providing integrated solutions to programme/project conflicts and recoveries.
Manage and monitor processes to integrate scheduling from across all projects within our / the client's programmes.
Work closely with Project Managers to maintain programme schedules, and manage the interface between schedules while engaging stakeholders
Support work closely with the project manager and planning manager as well as the client's PC team to sustain and drive the evaluation of the project milestones, success and EVM
Collaborate with project delivery teams and external stakeholders to integrate all relevant components into project performance plan and monitoring
Capture and communicate best practice project planning policy, processes and procedures to enable continuous improvement.

- Qualified project manager / planner (or similar professional qualification / working towards one), with a strong track record of achievement in planning or project management within large scale infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrable understanding of commercial and planning elements within large or complex projects, and a track record of achievement and going the extra mile to deliver to clients.
- Specialist in the relevant tools and software e.g. P6 and related packages
- Consultancy style / focus upon delivery in a collaborative fashion
- Able to identify client requirements and scope wider business opportunities
- Skilled in the provision of planning coaching and mentoring to less experienced staff
