This position will be based in our Toronto Ontario Office. Primary focus will be providing Senior Program Management Services to a major transportation client in the Greater Toronto Area.
The successful candidate must have the knowledge of and experience to deliver a major rail transportation infrastructure project in Canada. Other rail International experience is a plus. This role would span the full project life cycle, starting with establishing the program governance, policies and procedures, and continuing throughout the various project phases from planning, initial design and procurement, final design, construction and commissioning. Experience is required across all project delivery methods, including Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, CM at Risk and Public Private Partnerships/ AFP delivery. Experience in program structuring and contract packaging for major programs is highly desirable. Effective project management, task management, and stakeholder communication skills are a must.
This position will serve as a team leader and program / project manager as a primary senior level client contact. Additionally, this individual may provide marketing and outreach in the transportation market sector to secondary clients and other stakeholders. The successful individual will establish and foster teaming relationships both internally and with other consulting firms and must be an effective client manager. The individual will also work with Business/Accounting Managers, Senior Project Control Managers and CH2M management as needed for reviews of cost, scheduling, budgets and contract change management. The successful candidate will also be responsible for implementing and enforcing Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures on a major transportation project. The Senior PM must be comfortable with being viewed as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of rail specialization that participates in resolving problems of greater scope and complexity while planning and developing projects or design activities which have significant impact on major company programs.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Bachelors or Masterâ??s degree in Planning, Civil Engineering or related field.
Significant/extensive experience in the project management of major rail transportation projects
Ability to demonstrate extensive public participation, agency coordination and programming experience.
Ability to work with office/corporate leaders to develop strategies for key hiring, key project pursuits, team growth, office growth/profitability, employee development and employee satisfaction.
Established track record of successful project delivery for major transportation infrastructure projects
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario or equivalent
International experience on a major rail projects
Transportation governance and policy experience
Salary: $350,000 to $400,000 CAD annually
