This position is responsible for development of project control tools and execution of project control processes that support Production Engineers, Project Managers, and Production Leadership in the successful management and implementation of the Production Project Portfolio.
Develop, implement, and maintain cost reports, cash flows, budgets, and forecasts
Analyze project controls reports, and portfolio data (including project performance metrics), present findings and provide recommendations to Engineering & Construction/Business Unit leadership and Project Managers
Develop and provide both routine and special request reports on individual project performance and total project portfolio performance, including historical data review and analysis
Assist Project Managers with procurement, and budget tracking against Contracts/Purchase Orders
Assist Project Managers with Contracts including document development, bid process, EK Board approval process, and commercial administration
Develop and present RUS 3 Yr Work Plans, Long Range Financial Forecasts, and Environmental Surcharge Case data.
Using P6, develop a forecast, track, and analyze Engineering staff resource use and allocation for the Department
Develop, document, and train business and project processes using Microsoft Visio
Develop and present project controls information for internal audiences using Microsoft PowerPoint
Develop and maintain tools to support, analyze, and improve project estimating
Support internal change management processes – analyze and report related data
Manage the Project Close-Out process
Provide quality control for Project Lifecycle processes
Serve as a point of contact for project data with Accounting, Supply Chain, Finance, etc.
Establish new and/or revised asset data as projects are executed
Manages the use and continuous improvement of Production OPPM
Supports the development, use, and continuous improvement of corporate integrated tools like Project Analytics and Maintenance Analytics.
BS (Engineering) required from ABET accredited program.
Four (4) years of related and progressively more responsible project controls experience required
Experience with full project life-cycle processes preferred
Field Construction experience preferred
Project Management experience preferred
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work independently, think creatively and analytically, and make sound decisions/conclusions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong team skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience with P6 or Microsoft Project – familiar with CPM logic & techniques

Conditions of Employment
Normal office and construction site environments on a regular basis
Occasional work in and around operating plan and construction environments where environmental demands include; dust, noise, fumes, rough/uneven terrain, extreme temperatures, etc.
Travel in and outside the EKPC system is required – travel may be overnight
Some work outside normal hours is required
Potential for long project assignments on-site (e.g. 6 months or more)
