Summary: The Dalio Institute of Cardiovascular Imaging at Weill Cornell Medicine seeks a talented and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Fellow or Research Scientist to develop next-generation cardiovascular devices and implants. Applicants should have experience medical device fabrication and/or characterization. Strong applicants will have experience working with minimally invasive devices and procedures, cardiovascular devices, and/or soft materials and foams. Applicants are expected to have a solid background in materials, manufacturing, mechanics, and fluid dynamics. Additionally, applicants are expected to understand basic cardiovascular physiology and medical technology. Experience with catheter design, and/or construction of biomedical devices is strongly desired, but not necessary.
PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
Experience in design and/or construction of biomedical devises (experience with cardiac devices and implants preferred).
Knowledgeable in cardiovascular physiology, medical technology.
