Manage our clientâ??s aviation construction management projects and have a hand in transforming tomorrow.
Our South Florida Aviation Group is conducting a search for an Aviation Construction Manager to be responsible for projects at Luis MuÃ±oz Marin International Airport. This project will last approximately 12-18 months, will be based out of San Juan Puerto Rico and will be responsible for an aviation construction team specializing in taxiway, runway, apron, drainage and electrical/lighting projects. This person will be on-site working directly with one of our key clients as well as subcontractors and others involved in the improvements at this location.
Duties and responsibilities:
Manage the following
All aviation projects
Construction contract, change management and conflict resolution
Coordinate with owner and contractor to handle all issues related to FAA standards and regulations, RFIs, field orders, field bulletins, construction change proposals, change orders, negotiations, etc
Manage a small team of aviation construction inspection experts that drive all construction efforts and support of managing construction contractors as well as construction inspection
Provide guidance and advice to the client and then push those plans forward through your team
Spearhead efforts for the full-time inspection of construction activities representing our client and will be responsible for construction project administration
Responsible for quality assurance testing, review quality control testing, administering contract changes, reviewing quantities, managing costs and other construction management pieces our client assigns us to complete
Use your coordination and strong client management/communication skills to ensure the project is safe, on time and on budget

BS degree in construction management or real world experience equivalent
Minimum 15 years construction management experience, with an emphasis on aviation airfield construction projects
Ability to demonstrate experience in cement concrete runway, taxiway and apron construction
Minimum ten years of team leadership experience
Strong communication and staff management skills
