The City of Irvine Public Works Department seeks a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to work as a Supervising Transportation Analyst in the Transportation Planning and Project Development Division. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to perform a broad range of transportation planning and engineering tasks with emphasis in transportation planning. The position will serve in the lead role within the function overseeing senior, associate and/or assistant level analysts. Specific tasks include the review of traffic studies and environmental impact reports, preparing grants and the management of multiple complex transportation projects at any given time.
The purpose of the Supervising Transportation Analyst classification is to perform advanced professional transportation planning and analysis work, oversee the planning of transportation projects, and to supervise subordinate staff.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in transportation planning, engineering or a related field, and six years of professional transportation planning/analysis experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
