Our Birmingham team have exciting opportunities across our portfolio including; High Speed 2 (HS2), Programme Delivery Partner for Highways England, SMART/Major Motorways, Network Rail, Local Authority frameworks, Flood/Environmental frameworks and Major Ground Investigations.
This position is focused on the leadership and management of projects and programmes for one of our key clients. As a Project Manager, your role will form an important position within the delivery of one of our major programmes.
You will be part of a team responsible for managing the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary projects from initiation through to completion. Responsible for leading and developing team members as well as regularly liaising with senior staff to ensure the effective and efficient performance of the team. You will be responsible for delivering projects to time and budget, and ensuring projects are completed to the required quality and controls.
The Project Manager will comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures and be accountable for the following elements of the overall programme:
- Civil design
- Mass haul
- Transport modelling
- Traffic surveys
- Environmental surveys
- Environmental impact assessments
- Engagement with key stakeholders and local authorities, directly affected individuals and communities within the remit of the project

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
â?¢ Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in civil or environmental engineering
â?¢ Educated to Masterâ??s degree level in a relevant subject is desirable but not essential
â?¢ Programme management qualifications and experience of application in a major project
â?¢ Chartered membership of a relevant engineering / environmentall organisation is desirable
â?¢ Significant experience of project managing large or complex infrastructure/ engineering projects
â?¢ Experience in financial management of projects, including procurement processes
â?¢ Experience in managing project risk registers
â?¢ Proven ability managing individuals, consultants and working across multidisciplinary teams
â?¢ Strong numeracy, written and verbal communication skills and the aptitude to rationally explain, explore and discuss environmental issues to a range of stakeholders
â?¢ Strong IT skills
â?¢ Experience of preparing / reviewing material for and attending publicconsultations
â?¢ Experience of public inquiries (or similar) is desirable
â?¢ Experience of working under extremely tight deadlines and in a constantly changing project environment
