As the Office/Project Engineer on this long term aviation project, you will have the opportunity to impact infrastructure through renewal and replacement efforts of airport facilities and airfield infrastructure.
As an Office/Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Assist in reviewing and processing contractor progress payments.
Receive, log, review, distribute, and return submittals and Request for Information (RFI).
Scribe, review, and finalize minutes from weekly progress meetings. Work closely with the Assistant Resident Engineer and / or the Resident Engineer to ensure items are resolved.
Receive, log, review, distribute, and return shop drawings.
Receive, log, review, and distribute correspondence.
Assist in managing Resident Engineer staff as well as office operations.
Implement and manage a Document Control System.
Assist in the preparation of Monthly Reports.
Assist in tracking and correcting non-conforming work.
Assist in processing change orders, claims, and revisions to the contractual schedule and budget.
Report findings of anomalies in process and procedures to applicable Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
Maintain an operating awareness of all contract issues and project participants.Facilitation and use of the programâ??s Enterprise Project Controls Systems (ePMCS) PMWeb.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Bachelorâ??s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
A minimum of 1-2 yearsâ?? experience in the administration of office and document processing for a construction contract.
Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Suites specifically Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
Working knowledge of PMWEB, Primavera (P6), and Welcom Cobra.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to demonstrate how to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and contract.
Ability to demonstrate how to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations -- interpersonal skills and leadership skills.
Safety Training (minimum OSHA 10 hour).
