One of the nation’s largest and most dynamic nonprofit organizations is currently searching for a geo-technical engineer to provide technical and product support within our Geo-Institute. Do you like working with others who are passionate about their work? We are looking for the right person to join our team of professionals providing geotechnical engineers with the resources they need to advance their careers.
Responsibilities include:
Facilitating the development of manuals of practice, technical briefs, short courses, workshops, webinars, and seminars
Serving as liaison to technical, board, and editorial board committees
Partnering with local chapters to facilitate agreements on joint events
Managing, developing, and enhancing geotechnical codes and standards, and technical evaluations
Managing the production and development of our bi-monthly GEOSTRATA magazine
The ideal candidate will have:
A BS in civil engineering or geotechnical engineering
PE license preferred (or ability to obtain within 1 year)
Six to eight years of experience (geo-technical experience preferred or a very strong interest in this area)
Demonstrated success managing projects and processes
Thorough proficiency with the MS Office Suite
Some volunteer management experience preferred
