This position will be provide radio and electronic systems engineering for the clientele to increase efficiency resiliency and reliability of existing systems and the design, procurement, implementation, acceptance, and maintenance of new systems.

This vacancy is being announced at two different job classes at the same time, Engineer Senior and Engineer 2 Graduate. The final class and starting salary are dependent on the successful applicant’s qualifications.
Engineer Senior Minimum Qualifications:
Licensure as a professional Electrical Engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID) or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity. (If obtaining licensure through reciprocity, a practice pending letter from AELSLAGID must be provided to MnDOT HR prior to starting employment.)
Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Four years of post-graduate electrical engineering experience.
Engineer 2 Graduate Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
Two years post-graduation electrical engineering work.
Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
Engineer Senior and Engineer 2 Graduate Required Skills:
CAD software, spreadsheets and word processing systems including radio specific software.
