SLR International Corporation is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to serve as an integral part of our team in Massachusetts. The candidate will supervise and manage a wide range of transportation engineering projects in Massachusetts and New England, as well as be responsible for planning, design, permitting, analysis, and preparation of specifications and technical reports.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of experienced licensed engineers, landscape architects, planners, scientists, and other professional staff that will be supportive of their growth and development.  They will also collaborate on exciting and significant projects using interactive and engaging tools to deliver quality work that has a positive and lasting impact on the communities in which we work.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage small to large scale transportation engineering and highway projects
• Provide senior oversight on projects and serve as a technical resource
• Assist in business development with MassDOT and other public and private sector clients
• Perform analysis and prepare design calculations
• Prepare contract documents, including plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Perform quality review of highway and traffic design calculations and contract documents.
• Participate in meetings with clients and project team members.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Transportation Engineering
• Minimum 8 years' experience in the field of Transportation Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer (MA preferred or ability to get reciprocity)
• Project management experience
• Experience on MassDOT projects
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation/InRoads/OpenRoads and Microsoft Project scheduling software
