Plan and construct infrastructures. Design foundations to support infrastructures. Inspect bridges on rivers, highways, and creeks and prepare detailed bridge inspection reports. Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports for projects related to transportation. Design various reinforced concrete structures. Assess structural integrity of all infrastructures. Analyze and design new and existing bridges and other structures. Perform field investigations or inspections. Conduct detailed check of design computations. Assist with the coordination of design projects. Review and calculate resources. Collaborate with teams on multi-discipline projects.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.   

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

Must have a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Civil Engineering, or a related field, plus one (1) year of related work experience in structural engineering project design and analysis.

Must have one (1) year of experience with/in each of the following:

• MathCAD, MicroStation, BlueBeam, and/or AutoCAD for preparing, analyzing, and checking transportation infrastructure designs;
• Working knowledge of GDOT bridge design policies and standards;
• Designing prestressed beam and steel plate girder bridges; and
• Using two (2) or more of the following design software such as: Leap Bridge, SAP, and/or CSI Bridge.

Telecommuting permitted.

Professional Engineer License required.
