The Senior Regional Planner will manage and coordinate the agency’s Social Equity and Environmental Justice Initiative. Duties include conducing social equity analysis for regional plans, programs and projects; leading public outreach and engagement strategies and partnering with community-based organizations; and developing and implementing plans and policies that advance social equity and environmental justice.
Experience and Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree with major course work in public administration; public policy; planning; or a related field. A combination of education and recent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
At least five years of recent, progressive project management experience including lead supervisory experience.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with project management and contracts management, including preparing and maintaining comprehensive budgets, project management plans, schedules, RFPs, consultant scopes of work, and contract execution, tracking, and amendments; experience evaluating proposals, selecting, and managing consultants; experience managing project teams.
Experience supervising and evaluating the work of employees; experience evaluating internal business processes and balancing workload with staff resources; experience providing leadership and direction for assigned programs; ability to delegate authority and responsibility.
