Summary:
The Port of Corpus Christi Authority (PCCA) is seeking a dynamic engineering professional to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Chief of Design and Construction will be a talented, growth-oriented leader, with a special combination of multidisciplinary engineering and technical experience, along with a passion for exemplary customer service.
The PCCA’s Engineering Team is responsible for the successful completion and delivery of projects, including design of PCCA facilities and infrastructure, construction program management, and development of the PCCA’s capital improvement program.
This position will assist the Director of Engineering in leading and executing the program while ensuring timeline, quality delivery of projects. The position covers a broad range of functions including providing engineering technical support, design leadership, construction management, and oversight for expansion and improvement of infrastructure at one of the nation’s largest ports, while providing support to the Director of Engineering Services.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
At least ten years of experience in engineering design and project and program management (15 years preferred) with at least 5 years managing a team.
Experience in port and waterfront design, construction management, program management and budgeting preferred.
Strong multi-disciplined knowledge of engineering techniques and theories. Experience with local, State, and federal codes and requirements.
Other Information:
Registered professional engineer in the State of Texas or ability to obtain registration in Texas.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) during course of employment.
Valid driver’s license.
