Mechanical Engineer Salary: $114,981.00 annually
Minimum Qualifications (Mechanical Engineer): Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in mechanical, materials science or metallurgical engineering; and at least three years of progressively responsible professional mechanical engineering experience, preferably in a water utility; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Upon registration as a Professional Engineer, a Mechanical Engineer will advance to Mechanical Engineer, P.E.
Hours of Work: 4/10's, 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (4 weeks/year-Night Shift or Alternative Schedule)
The ideal candidate for this position would possess an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering along with at least 5 years of experience working in a 24-7 industrial plant or utility as a maintenance engineer; demonstrate experience commissioning newly constructed and upgraded facilities; have extensive knowledge of predictive maintenance and enterprise asset management systems; be proficient in troubleshooting defective equipment using failure modes and effects or root cause analysis; have experience drafting facility operations manuals; and display a high level of interpersonal skills when working with mechanics, operators, and contractors.
A valid certificate of registration as a Professional Engineer issued by the State of Nevada is required for appointment to Mechanical Engineer, P.E.
