The Department of Engineering at Grove City College invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in Biomedical Engineering. Passion for teaching the fundamentals of biomedical engineering at the bachelor’s level is essential along with an interest in applied undergraduate research. Looking for faculty with a mechanical engineering emphasis to support development of a new biomedical engineering concentration within our Applied Science and Engineering program.
We seek applicants that are committed to academic excellence, undergraduate teaching and applied research. We value the holistic development of students base on a liberal arts foundation along with a commitment to living a life based on Christian values and a commitment to faith and freedom. Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate courses including laboratory courses along with the advising of capstone design projects.
PhD in Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on bioengineering is required. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in teaching undergraduates in both classroom and laboratory settings. Although undergraduate teaching is the primary focus at Grove City College, we are deeply committed to integrating applied research into our learning environment. Applicants should have a plan for conducting research at the undergraduate level.
