CNG Engineering, PLLC is growing! We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer/Project Manager for our Austin or San Antonio, Texas location. Key responsibilities include, successfully planning, managing, and executing projects on-time, within budget, while maintaining current client relationships and securing additional project work. This position will prepare project proposals and ensure project estimates are accurate and the project scope is executable and within budget.
We are a San Antonio-based, professional mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering design firm that provides master planning, design and building commissioning services for public and private sector projects across the State of Texas. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assumes Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager role and manages assigned projects including coordination and or direction for design team from inception to completion on a project-specific basis
- Prepare proposals and reports for small and large projects
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work while maintaining quality standards on all projects
- Lead design and construction meetings
- Design of branch circuit distribution systems for power and lighting in commercial facilities
- Design of overall power distribution system
- Design of fire alarm system
- Perform calculations to support system designs
- Perform CA tasks, review submittals/shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and attend CA meetings
- Conduct site visits to evaluate field installations and conduct field observations
- Assists in Marketing/BD efforts in coordination with Marketing Director
- As other duties assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPENTENCIES:
- Proven track record completing projects, strong project planning and delivery experience
- Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication
- Team-oriented, hands-on, adaptive and client focused
- Ability to influence senior level leadership
- Excellent time management and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work under pressure with demanding deadlines with a high sense of urgency
- Ability to develop business and promote business relationships through client interaction
TECHNOLOGY/COMPUTER EXPERIENCE:
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, and Revit
- Proficient in Bluebeam
- Proficient in MS Office Suite to include, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Project Management Certification, preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- 7+ years of recent experience in Electrical Engineering design with an architectural or MEP firm
- LEED accreditation is highly desired
- Advanced in project management including managing work to produce projects on schedule and within budget
- Advanced interpersonal skills and experience helping to maintain successful client relationships
- Advanced in planning and organization skills with ability to lead multiple-discipline project teams
- Advanced in Project Management including managing work to produce projects on schedule and within budget
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Current PE certification
SCHEDULE:
- Monday - 8:00AM - 5:30PM
- Tuesday - Thursday - 7:30AM - 5:30PM
- Friday - 7:30AM - 12:00P
JOB TYPE:
