Under limited direction and in compliance with technical, administrative, regulatory, or professional standards and guidelines, administers transit operations to ensure efficient and safe transportation of passengers. Supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Safety Management System (SMS) processes and activities. Ensures compliance with municipal, state, and federal regulations regarding transit and fleet operations. Coordinates dispatch activities, communication within operations, and assignment of operators to obtain optimum use of facilities, equipment, and personnel. Evaluates services and programs to ensure the highest level of both service and efficiency. Ensures accurate recording of transit and paratransit ridership data, including verification of
