Performs or delegates and oversees various traffic-related studies and analyses relating to safety and congestion on the City transportation network. Examples include speed studies, signal warrants, 4-way stop analysis, signal timing, accident evaluations, and access management. Assists in design, plan review, cost estimating, and contract management of capital projects relating to results of studies. Oversees short-range and long-range transportation planning efforts by providing transportation modeling and review, coordinates joint multi-modal transportation efforts with Lee County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), and Lee County, and evaluates/reviews traffic impact statements.
