Job Overview The Transportation Safety Engineer will be responsible for the systemic safety planning and program development and implementation for the County Roads. This includes roads, intersections, lighting, speed management, safe routes to school, safe routes to transit, pedestrians, bikes, crash data analysis, program development, and design plan reviews. Budgets may be developed from multiple funding sources and applying for grant funding. Close coordination and representation will be required with management, other agencies, committees, staff and consultants.
