Utilities Director - City of Lawrenceville, Georgia The City of Lawrenceville, Georgia is seeking a new Utilities Director who is ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities of the position in a diverse and growing community.  Lawrenceville was established in 1821 and serves as the county seat of Gwinnett County, Georgia. It is a suburb of Atlanta, located approximately 30 miles northeast of downtown with a population of approximately 31,000.  The city is governed by a council-manager form of government.  The City Council determines the city policies, and the City Manager is then responsible for city operations and execution of the set policies. The Utilities Director serves as a member of the City’s Executive Team and plays a key role in emergency response
